The Word Project

Wood cuts, 2 prints at 60x80 cm each, 2011
Edition: 20 each

The work is investigating the mechanics of restructured narratives, where single sentences has been collected from a vampire novel and reassembled to convey an experience of physical agitation on the one hand, and defensive thought strategies on the other.

The heap of wood cuttings underneath is the remains of labour, as every single letter was laboriously cut out by hand - an action of fondness and relentlessness.
